Elly has always longed for something more than her ordinary life—a real adventure. She never expected to find it on her first day at the local university.

A chance encounter with a talking cat, Telemon, Timothy, an astronaut in training, Alice, a marketing student, and Benson, a secretive farmhand, throws them all into another world on the brink of war. Their mission: rescue Timothy’s mother, Maria, from the Lor—a water-dwelling species whose territory is rapidly drying up. Desperate not to leave a legacy of a dying land, the Lor King has taken Maria and her machine, hoping to use its power to conquer the rest of the land for its remaining water, other water-rich worlds—and possibly even Earth.

All are wary of their new companions, and when the situation becomes even more treacherous, struggles arise within the group— betrayals, Benson’s true identity, and a distrust of the King and Febelon. Meanwhile, Elly faces the hardest challenge of them all— her own growing feelings for the evil King she should despise.

And, of course, nothing they do will even matter unless they can get the assistance of the most technologically advanced beings in the land—the Frogs.
